it still wasn't Ruby Central's to give away ownership of. it was the maintainers to give away. Ruby Central could've forked it and continue on their own path and been fine. Woulda taken 30 seconds in GitHub and saved y'all so much time.

I've followed, but kept rather quiet about the Ruby Central stuff so far. I'm just some guy who is unqualified to pick it apart, but I will just offer a couple of thoughts. Firstly, most people involved in the discourse care deeply about Ruby, or they wouldn't be engaging in the first place. n/∞
