And these same people wonder why no one wants to have kids... "Yes, I want to have kids now that all social services have been cut and we're entering another war for oil"

In honor of today, I'm announcing "boolify". Fix all your environment variable woes with this simple function.
gist.github.com/KonnorRogers...
No more forgetting if its supposed to be "1" or "0" or "on" or "true" or forgetting that env variables are strings and not proper booleans! You're welcome!

Mullins will get the praise for the shot, but this is the 2nd UConn game that Reed has willed UConn to a win. Gonna be a long night for Cayden Boozer, he's gonna think about that pass for a long time.

CSS is DOOMed! I've build DOOM in CSS and every wall, floor, barrel, and imp is a div, positioned in 3D space using CSS transforms.
cssdoom.wtf
Try it out! But... not every browser can handle it. This is taking the browser to its limit. Chrome has some issues. Safari too. Bugs will be filed.

You're building an email template editor. You allow making "draft" / "unpublished" versions, you can make an unpublished version "active"...but naturally, you don't provide a way to get the templateID of the unpublished email template...so there is no way to progressively swap over 🙃

America, where they would rather you die a hero, than to properly pay and staff critical services. So many corollaries with how we view healthcare in this country too. Brush off preventative care in favor of care for disasters.

this is far from production ready but i'm already using it for my own websites so why the hell not: i've been working on a way to run your own vercel-esque platform from a linux VPS. it's like coolify and dokku, except the entire thing is a single ~700 line bash script.

Been pushing my 7year old in his wagon walking up and down the hallway for the last 2.5hrs, hoping he'll fall back asleep. It's currently 4am and I'm just happy he's not screaming, crying, or trying to go outside. Little wins.

If you don’t read old stuff you’ll never discover that people in the olden days had the same thoughts and feelings and dreams and anxieties you do, sometimes articulated differently, sometimes exactly the same way. You are never truly alone in anything and old writings are a neon sign telling you so

Observation: When you add "time" as a constraint and prioritize speed over everything, the first organizational casualty is talking to eachother. There is no time to schedule calls and talk to subject matter experts. "ASAP" makes a big assumption that all relevant parties are currently in the room.
