An important read. Naive researchers are using TriNetX easy-to-use tools without realizing that their analyses of routinely collected data are meaningless, even claiming that nonexistent TriNetX tools fixed biases.

Indeed the primary causes of bad science come from within: academics are incentivized for quantity, not quality; for novelty, not reproducibility. Toss in poor #Statistics education (including measurement and experimental design) and you have a disaster.

Been reading up on depression onset / relapse forecasting and found a lot of papers in tier 1 psychiatry journals with similar distributions of p-values. Doesn't speak to any individual paper of course—sometimes lucky, perhaps—but collectively, there are problems in this literature.

We're all seeing examples of weak target trial emulations. On the surface, they may seem reasonable. But the framework has been poorly applied. E.g. Time zero alightment is not properly considered and the assumptions have not been scrutinised. A 'method' must be used well for a study to be good!
