I genuinely hate having to plug my work on here. I would rather post my cartoons and drawings without a link to my website, but unfortunately social media is an important element of our business, so I have to do it. I do appreciate the reposts and thank you for the support since I came to Bluesky.

Considering Amazon own Twitch, you'd think they'd know how gamers talk, but nope.

I wanted to see if it was possible to load the same cassette into a real BBC Micro and the Acorn Electron core on a miSTer at the same time.

Had quite a few Commodore 64 disk games arrive today. Might not be till Christmas that I actually a chance to test them, but it'll be a fun task.

In this Connect 4 clone, these aliens are apparently diving into a teleporter, but it does look more like they're being sent plunging to their death.

Two of this week's arrivals show the range of effort that went into naming old computer games from the half-arsed 'Footer' to the gonna-need-a-bigger-box of 'The Unorthodox Engineers: The Pen And The Dark'

I remember enjoying Olli & Lissa back in the day and was surprised when Olli & Lissa 3 came out, when I'd never seen a second game. Now I've ended up with all three and it's hard to even tell that Halloween is an Olli & Lissa game. Oddly, there don't seem to be many copies of Halloween around.

Took in parcels for two neighbours earlier. If they come round for them, I should shake my head in disapproval of the lack of effort in their outfits, but still give them a chocolate bar anyway.

Browsing Instagram, I got shown an ad for some sketchy multi-console emulator and this video was on their website. Needs sound so that you can see just how bad it is

Had some MSX bits arrive yesterday and rather enjoyed this review of 'The Boss' and its helpful screenshot. I googled to see if Peaksoft fared better after this game, but this looks to be their only release.

Just seen an ad for a computer keyboard that opens with "once you see it, you can't unsee it", which either demonstrates a completely misunderstanding of the phrase or it's haunted.

I feel like this about old videogames. Seeing a well-thumbed manual with level passwords written in or a bit of paper with a doodled custom map warms my heart more than a mint sealed copy of the same game.

Marie sums this up better than I ever could. Tricking people into thinking they're meeting their ideal match is never going to last.. although maybe that's the point.

I didn't realise you could delete the Discovery feed because they don't call it deleting. You unpin it. But it's the same effect, it's gone and you don't accidentally click on it any more.

China Miner for the C64 arrived today. Never heard of it before, but this is the back of the case. The person that wrote the game description seems to care less after each paragraph and those keyboard controls .. "3 is up.. X is down.. screw 'em.. they should buy a joystick"

I'm not saying that the Tengen/Domark releases for the SAM Coupé were an afterthought, but there's no mention of the SAM Coupé anywhere (unless maybe there used to be an extra bit of paper included) - the instructions are for every format, but they still don't mention the SAM Coupé.
