I'm mostly concerned about the additional VMT imparted by the cost and ease of its use, and the shift in infrastructure investment and development encouraged by that change. I'm not sure the city is up to managing that challenge, let alone the state.

Meanwhile, in Oregon (which also had a rare, hard to get congestion pricing permit from feds) ODOT failed so hard at standing up the pgm that the governor had it banned it in statute. High taxes are a scapegoat for OR's stagnation: the real problem is bad governance and the uncertainty it begets.
