We found a baby thrush in the gardens today that was being attacked by 5 seagulls 😡. Ran over and picked it up, as it seemed to be in shock. Took the little gal home, fed her some honeyed water in a dish and churu via pipette. (Loved it!)

One of the gardens staff motored over to Eddie and I after seeing me take this foxglove pic and was like "Have you seen the really unique aquilegia??" and pointed at it and I went, "ooh yes fasciated! There's another with it in the Wonderland garden" and then we just nerded out about plants a bit 🌱🇳🇿

Eddie has kindly edited my duckposting video down to a single minute so you can watch the little darlings waking up! We caught them just in time this morning, snuggled in one of the rhododendron beds. Dad's method of getting them out of bed is um. Not subtle. #nzbirds
