We were at Long Compton, Warks., on Saturday, at the invitation of the Visual Art Group of the RPS, to give a 3-D talk and some hands-on expericence of Stereoscopy, thanks to our handling collection. #worldphotographyday - celebrating that day in 1839 when Daguerre presented his invention to a joint meeting of the academies or Arts and Sciences in Paris, the daguerreotype. One year or so later they started taking stereoscopic pictures and this stereo daguerreotype is from my own collection.

Stereoscopy Day 2025. On the longest and one of the hottest days of the year so far, we set off for London to give an in-person talk. Can you imagine that in our suitcases we had two projectors, a beam-splitter, nearly 100 pairs of 3-D glasses and a 2.50 x 1.50 m screen ?
