I've been thinking about a gigolas (Legolas/Gimli) arranged marriage AU. There are two options here. One is a complete AU, either one where the ring isn't a big menace or just a few years before the war. Another one (more tempting) is after the war of the ring.

I also remember I used to lowkey like Fili/Gimli. In a sort of... Unrequited, tragic way. Yes, it was Fili who had a crush. They were very young. :c He didn't make it. If he had, Legolas might've gotten his heart broken! (Yes, I've imagined this telenovela.)

I don't like that everyone thinks Legolas "snuck" Gimli into Valinor (probably because of a tumblr post). Gimli had permission!!!!! To go there!!! It's believed Galadriel herself intervened. Like. I know the image is funny but Legolas wasn't smuggling him. They were sailing into the sunset together.
