Was a pleasure meeting you and I’m glad you were able to make it to the opening. Was a fun night.

Electrical work starts tomorrow. Just getting some basics in place. Will go in full force after Christmas. Looking forward to getting my new studio all finished and getting moved in. Got all my tools out into the shed and a bench set up this weekend. It’s getting there, slowly but surely.

I’ll be honest that the first couple episodes of Heated Rivalry didn’t do much for me. Felt immature and pretty toxic in how they treated each other but these last few episodes got much better. This latest episode 5 was really beautifully done with some very touching moments.

I’ve been working hard to try and tell my story. Figuring out how to present it in small bite sized and palatable ways. Bear with me.

The structure and exterior of both the new art studio and shed are complete. Hopefully interior work on the studio will start in the next few weeks. Really kicking off at the beginning of January and getting it all finished. Excited to get it finished and get moved in!

Added a handful of new charity prints to my shop. 100% of the proceeds are split between CasaQ and Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico.

I think there is a bit of a theme to my favorite movies of 2025.

Progress on my multiples. Fun exercise.

Did the first test for the what I’m calling my queer multiples project. I’m going to be doing at least 12, possibly more, 8.5x11” acrylic on canvas paintings. Same image but each will be unique with different background colors. Stay tuned.

The Essence Of Life - limited edition of 50, now available, but only until December 7th to assure all orders get out before the holidays.

Working on sketches for a possible series of multiples. Small paintings of basically the same image but each will be unique. Seems like a good last minute Christmas release if I can get them all done. Ha.

Major headway made this weekend. Roofers coming tomorrow. Electrical starting later this week. My new home studio is coming to life.

The framing is going up so quick! We’ve got a 500 sqft studio going in an 120 sqft shed that will house all the power tools and be a spot to build my boards.

Construction has begun. Scary excitement as it’s all moving quickly now!

I don’t really call it or consider it thanksgiving but I’m grateful for the time and space to make dinner for and hang out with my husband, daughter, and our friends Flint and Xilo. Was a lovely afternoon.

Today’s working progress.

My archive sale is now on for the next week. These are the last remaining pieces from sold out print runs over the last year or two. Anything left will go back into the archives at the end of the sale.

Concrete poured today for my private home studio. Will be transitioning from a public storefront to a private space in the months months and getting excited.

I don’t normally do this but I want these two pieces to find good homes as I start cleaning up my current studio to move into my home studio in the coming month or so. Both are on sale for 24 hours only. Originally 1800.00c letting go for just 1000.00 a piece. 24x32” acrylic on canvas.

The dig for the slab passed inspection today. They will pour the slab early next week. I upped the budget a little to add a shed as a dedicated space for my tools. Giving me more space in my studio and I’m adding a 10x10’ concrete patio off the studio. So excited to get it all moving forward.

Experimenting with some heavily textured floating wood panels made from recycled scraps. Working to get it a live edge feel. So far so good.

Cleaning out the fridge today. Roasted cabbage, brussels sprouts and zucchini with a mushroom gravy. Looks messy, but taste good.

No matter the weight of the world, find a way to lighten the load, to dance, to keep moving.

I can’t bring myself to celebrate the “win” of getting to keep the legal rights I already had in the tail of democrats caving and a year full of losses. I mean I’m grateful my marriage is still legal but all things considered this doesn’t feel like a win.

Today is the day. God i hope i made the right decision here. Lol. Permit was approved and today they’re digging up the space and getting ready to lay the slab foundation. Private home studio construction has begun. So at the end of December I’ll no longer have a public facing studio/gallery space.

Nothing really to say tonight. Feeling tender for some reason.
