Re: earlier thoughts on the big three (yoonmin, jikook, taekook) I have an irrational wish that they could have their own ao3 fandom tag so it would be easier to find the other ships. This is really no fault of the authors or readers, just a systemic issue

jinmin - I LOVE them. I want more. sj is emotionally constipated, jm needs praise & validation. Recipe for disaster + tenderness jihope - canonically speaking this one is SUPER realistic imo. Has tons of potential for conflict in fic bc of their similar desire for validation, perfectionism etc.

i saved this one bc my thoughts feel disorganized. so, this ship isn't naturally compelling to me, bc I don't personally relate to how either is usually characterized within the ship, and yet somehow every fic i pick up for it (I've actually read a fair amount) is soo good?? there are some bangers+

omg 2seok is so fun. For sort of similar reasons as jinkook- they are both bad communicators, esp with each other. I think neither of them is good at being emotionally vulnerable which can create some really compelling fic writing and characterization that i never get sick of reading

omg this is a longtime favorite of mine. i think bc sj and yg are both characterized so strongly within the fandom, that together it was always going to be magic. I also really love humor in my fic and yoongi provides a perfect comedic foil to jin. honestly this ship has some amaaazing fics lol

I recently had my minimoni epiphany. I'm obsessed with the concept of this ship even tho I haven't read a ton yet. Size difference - check, flipping roles + size difference - check check. I also love that jimin is extremely emotionally intelligent and fills in some of namjoon's potential blindspots

this ship is really naturally juicy to me... in part bc it has that natural "well how do we get them from being brotherly to being romantic?"—I love ships with built in challenges. I also think sj and jk are bad communicators, but in diff ways, which adds an extra layer of fun while writing
