Surprise thunder disturbs some of us more than others.

My old roommate, and good friend, underwent a double mastectomy a couple of weeks ago. In one of her update texts she made a bad joke, and I one upped her by changing her name to 55378008 in my phone, and sending her a screenshot.

Look, sometimes I tear up at work. Sometimes it's personal, sometimes it's allergies, sometimes it's the entire world reminding me this is not the way it needs to be.

My wife arranged to have 3 strapping young lads with muscles and working knees remove a huge amount of junk from our basement and crawlspace. I, for one, am happy to stimulate the economy by giving my earned cash to people to do things that need done, but that I really really do not want to do.

Last night I got 'the sunday scarries' at 7ish. Went to bed just filled with dread for the work week. This week is currently like 1/3rd as 'filled' as last week, but I still can't shake that "other shoe is gonna drop" feeling. Given the state of the world, I really hope it's just a work shoe.
