The great thing about the reaction to the Doomsday trailers in cinemas (which I still haven’t seen) is the the love for James Marsden as Cyclops. Jackman got all the attention, which made sense, but i always wanted the movies to spend more time with Scott Summers.

Going over the line edit for A Soul Full of Shadows. This was such an interesting book to write. It had a MASSIVE subplot for Winter that was meant to sit alongside her ongoing story, but I was halfway through when I realised it was too distracting.

Today I learned that "imposter" is more commonly spelled "impostor" and I am... surprised.

So incredibly proud of my fiancée. Getting an agent is a vital step for any writer and she did it without any help (apart from advice and encouragement) from me. And dear god you should read her horror stuff. It is MESSED UP.

I was asked to do a 30 second end-of-year video for Spotify. Wasn’t happy with the first few attempts. Or the next 5. The next 10, I kept making the same mistake. Then there were the ones I just hated. Then I got annoyed. Then I got bored. Then I got annoyed again. Anyway! Got it on the 59th try.

On one hand, it is immensely satisfying to read a social media post by a friend/peer, write a reply, think about it, then delete it — figuring why add my words to someone else's thoughts? On the other hand — aren't they INVITING comment simply by writing the post? But on the THIRD hand... meh.
