I love Fridays, because Fridays are when I get to the bookshops- and even though I have a book of my own to finish, Alexis Henderson and @StephenKing (by way of a MURDER of authors riffing on The Stand) are beckoning…

Getting through the Until The End continuity edit. Reached the chapter where Flanery takes a Splash of pure intelligence instead of pure strength, and his world opens up... and then it fades and he sabotages himself by choosing pure strength again. Nasty little man.

Continuity edit of UTE, and I'm going yep, this was written during lockdown... "The streets were quiet and dark... After a month of terror and monster attacks, most mortal businesses around the world were closed and shuttered— apart from supermarkets and restaurants."

Making my way through the continuity edit of Until The End (definitely making fewer changes in the later books than the earlier books) and I have come to Omen and the "Filament Derp" moment, which remains one of my favourite, sillier scenes where I let myself go full comedy...

The stop motion sequence in the opening episode of Wednesday season 2 was just GLORIOUS. The rest of the episode is looking like the majority of season 1, in that it might be difficult to get through.

I don’t put up a whole lot of personal posts, but the exceptions exist for a reason: it is a LOT easier for me to process grief when I don’t have to tell a list of friends and family that one of my lovely cats has died. Instead, they read about it here and get in touch.

Doing my continuity edit of DOA and this is an example of the sometimes random changes I've been making. The Roarhaven coroner who, I think, only has one scene, is called Simon Peculiar. I have now renamed him Delacroix Peculiar.

Rereading Seasons of War, and Chapter 63 might be my favourite so far. When I came up with Corrival Academy, I thought it'd be a great chance to do MY version of Hogwarts, with all the weird classes and eccentric teachers. But when I got to it, I realised I had zero interest.

Seasons of War. The Dead Men have just realised that Serpine has murdered an old acquaintance. Val: I thought you said he died of natural causes. Serpine: There's nothing more natural than dying from a knife to the neck. What would be unnatural is if he'd survived.
