I have an op-ed in today's Anchorage Daily News about how dangerous Alaska Native Corporations' ICE contracts are.

ICE and CBP agents are out of control and put everyone in danger. We're calling for ICE agents to withdraw from Minneapolis, and for Congress to rein in ICE’s abuses in our communities.

Holy crap. This is the most damning video yet. It shows Border Patrol agents clearly taking Alex's firearm, running it away, and THEN executed him in cold blood by emptying a clip into his face. Murder.

Today, a second person was shot and killed in Minneapolis by ICE. Video from the scene is deeply disturbing. What I saw does not look like de-escalation. It looks like force escalating into deadly violence.

I don’t want to hear anything from an elected official unless it’s a plan to defund the DHS and impeach Noem, Bovino, etc. No texts. No emails. No talk about the economy. Step up or step off.

The mid to long term game plan for Alaska Native Corporation organizing is a big, and scary, ask, but the sooner it happens, the sooner shareholders like me can go from protesting to advocating for specific demands to prevent this from ever happening again.

Made the front page of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner today. I also have a letter to the editor about NANA. These ICE contracts use the same violence inflicted on Alaska Natives during the boarding school era- separating families and denying access to language and culture. It is white supremacy.
