Increasingly sure of LinkedIn's anti-BlueSky bias. I posted a carousel there based on my post below, and got <100 impressions. That never happens...

Composable data is going to be the ATmosphere's killer feature. Most users won't get it yet. But when the penny drops on “wait, if my data can work across more than one app...”, this discovery tool will send them down a rabbithole.

Outside Bluesky the only social I use is LinkedIn, where I try to inform my professional network on the significance of the Atmosphere. But precisely because it's a new topic, almost no-one in my LI network has ever interacted with similar content, so LI's algo doesn't show them my posts. Ideas?

Science is so cool. You can just be like "hey, I wonder how bees think" and answering that question can be a huge part of your career, and can unlock learnings that help the entire world. We need more science.

So something interesting that happened this week: Mastodon announced that they'd received €614,000 from Sovereign Tech Agency (german), and with part of that funding they're going to be implementing support for the FediMod FIRES protocol which I spent last year building whilst barely surviving.

this is a psa , if you visit a website that offers to let you sign in with atmosphere/bluesky you should click the little question mark in the top right. if it says "transition:generic", that app can do ANYTHING with the data in your account, short of dms and actually deleting/moving your account..
