The thing is, we can disagree about all kinds of policies, and still fundamentally agree on some basic principles of government. I think many of us have rediscovered that, which is one good thing that comes out of all this.

Republicans know exactly what they are doing in these cases. Speculation that they might simply be waging an ideological battle — and that it could backfire politically — is either dangerous wishful thinking or uninformed.

My law firm is currently litigating 61 voting and election cases, including 12 redistricting cases. We have four cases in one stage or another before the Supreme Court. These cases — and others like them — will play a pivotal role in whether we have free and fair elections in 2026 and 2028.

Well, well, well.... Let's think about why the Russians leaked it and why Trump is pushing for it at this particular moment. Could they think his days in the White House are numbered and they need to grab whatever they can?

What's weirdly missing from coverage of the Dem video is any discussion of this Q: Is it reasonable to fear Trump is giving illegal orders, or not? The answer is, yes, of course it is. On the boat bombings, for instance, evidence is extensive. Here's a look at it:

Breaking character: I am open to the idea the media's coverage of Biden's age and mental acuity was fair or perhaps not even tough enough. But the fact that it was so much tougher than the coverage of Trump's (more severe) mental decline is damning and I can't see how anyone could argue otherwise.

I don't think he's over, but authoritarians usually don't get more than 12-18 months to capture a regime, and they rely on a sense of power and inevitability. He's behind schedule and lost that aura. Also, populist dictators usually make things better for their supporters. But not this one.
