in 10 years i have never made a consistent income from this work and i am tired of designers from huge companies moodboarding and parasitising my designs while i struggle to make a living.

i don't have the resources nor the energy to spare to pursue this legally but i have lost count of the number of times a major company has deemed it easier to pay a designer to imitate or steal my work than to write me an email.

bungie is of course not obligated to hire me when making a game that draws overwhelmingly from the same design language i have refined for the last decade, but clearly my work was good enough to pillage for ideas and plaster all over their game without pay or attribution.

This is a huge problem across media where "controversy" is created with headlines and social copy that feed the very narratives the journalist themselves is debunking in the article. These headlines are then screenshotted and used as "evidence" in bad actors social media videos, etc.

A thing press institutions REALLY need to internalize is that 1000x more people will see the headline than read the article. If the headline leaves a false impression, but the article sets it straight, it doesn’t matter. You are spreading misinformation.

I got in trouble at work when I was an Online Producer at Rockstar Games and was in charge of all of the co's social accounts for accidentally following Yummy's Twitter from the R* account and not my personal. They were very choosey about who they follow and were like "who is this R&B singer?!"
