I genuinely do not understand how people are supposedly committing "fraud" with SNAP cards. The card has to be in your hand. If I buy a friend some groceries and they give me $5 later, there's no way to prove it was transactional without some very staged dialog.

only 'fraud' i ever saw growing up on it was an able abusive relative taking disabled one's card away to buy shit disabled and kid of weren't allowed to eat. which wouldn't happen if poverty wages were banned so there were few enough on assistance to afford the disabled to not live with abusers.
