Democrats should run this year on returning tariff revenue to Americans. Trump already said today he’s going to fight this in the courts. An easy mode way to be on the right side of the affordability issue.

What problem is Trump's new global 10% tariff meant to solve? If it's about leverage, ask: How much leverage do you get from a tariff that disappears in 150 days? If it's onshoring: Who builds new factories based on tariff that disappear before the factory is built? It's a tax. That's all it is.

Trump cannot wrap his head around any concept of law or justice that isn't personalist & Thrasymachian. He gave his appointees a plum post, and so in ruling against him they have displayed inexplicable ingratitude. The idea that the law might really compel the result is not on his radar.

As you watch Trump lose his shit, remember that the administration has been preparing for this SCOTUS ruling for at least a month.
