COADF 2 has exceeded my expectations in that I expected the whole album to sound like I Feel So Free and instead we got something more beautiful!

I may need to reflect more on this. But at first listen, COADF 2 is Madonna's best album since Ray of Light. Better than Music and better even than Confessions on a Dancefloor. The songs are rich, there is a texture, and movement. There is story telling. There are emotional arcs and reflections. 😢

Wrapping up with L.E.S. Girl - it's so wistful....what an interesting way to end the album...holy cow.....

Wow, so The Test is the 28 years later sequel to Little Star. Delving into her relationship with Lola. It's so evocative of the Ray of Light era as are other tracks, #COADF COADF2 #Madonna

Betrayal - jazzy and chill house AF and I am HERE for it!!! It's beautiful. I thought I was going to start to cry listening to it.

My Sins Are My Savior - As close to a ballad as this album will get. Not a criticism. I love it. Like several other songs on this album, Madonna and Stuart take us on a musical journey in 4 minutes....

Fragile - I am getting some serious Daft Punk vibes here in the best possible way!!! I say that as someone whose fave all time album is Random Access Memories!!! Holy Shit this song is beautiful!

School....is interesting. I love the structure of the song....it's a journey...

Bizarre (with Martin Garrix) - this album needed at least one EDM banger and this one is it! The build and the drop are *chef's kiss* but it doesn't feel out of place at all!! Love it! Love it!

Now onto Love Without Words. Nice mid tempo song with catchy parts.

Skipping the songs we have already heard including the just released Read My Lips. I am now on Everything! Wow!! The hooks, the builds, the journey on each song....

Every queer in the world that loves this is gonna be thankful to Stuart Price - a brilliant producer (and did Confessions I). Madonna produces her best stuff when she works with one producer rather than multiple. Can't believe I am going to say this but ... it might be bigger than Gaga's album!🤯

It samples some old-school Detroit House styles, infused with queer NYC underground and Gen Z pop. The tracks all melt into each other seamlessly in the perfect arrangement, and it feels like you're out clubbing with Honey Dijon at the hottest spot in town. Gonna light up dancefloors this w'end!

So this morning I've listened to the first 12 (of 17) songs from Madonna's new album: #ConfessionsII .... .... and it is extremely good. Easily her best work in 20 years. It's built for the dancefloor, blending new and old electronic styles, so def. listen to it with bass-boosting sound.
