like half my of website is generated with javascript in the client and gonna stay this way until i graduate to a static site generator or something, and i do feel little guilty about throwing all those scripts at ppl's browsers, but also it still feels incomparably lighter to any social media webapp

tfw when you cant get code to work but not because of a typo but because you genuinely cannot spell (and neither code editor nor console has spellcheck on). like i kept debugging and googling and triple-checking everything and document.querySelectorAll("*").lenght kept returning undefined

probably a hot take, but i think the relationship that a lot of people have with stories is strange and malformed. there's this notion that the story is an omniscient view into a world that exists. there is no author, just the world and the audience. they are an observer. they are doing science.

Gotta be honest whenever someone says “X person said Y unsavory thing!” I always want to see the specific thing that was actually said because a statistically-significant percent of the time people are just asserting the absolute least charitable interpretation of the statement as fact.

i transitioned from "i think ill keep my carrd subscription after ive made my own website, bc its really affordable and i could keep using it to whip up a page on whatever easily and quickly" to someone who uses a terminal-based text editor and considers a gui page editor painful to use
