Just cause you're going through a hard time as a poor disabled person. Does not excuse your racism or hate against any marginalized groups. I'm allowed to talk about the discrepancies between how a Black disabled person is treated versus a white disabled person. Medical racism is a thing.

More white disabled people need to sit in discomfort and examine the role they play in making the disability community unsafe for POCs in general. Just cause you're suffering or poor does not erase the fact that you are still white. It doesn't excuse your racism or hate.

Getting upset or defensive because you feel because you're poor and/or disabled, that it negates whatever advantages you get as a white person. Which isn't true. You're still white and you benefit from it in ways that you may not realize it. It's not an attack against you as an individual.

It's wild that me talking about the intersection between disability and race has so many white disabled people upset. I'm not minimizing your experience when I talk about the added struggles of being Black on top of being disabled. I face extra barriers. I'm allowed to talk about it.
