In the brain of intertidal crustaceans (Eurydice and Parhyale), circadian clock genes are expressed with a daily rhythm (24h) in some cells and a tidal rhythm (12.4h) in other cells. Two different clocks working in the same brain, using the same components.

Happy to have been part of this work with the Siudeja lab @ksiudeja.bsky.social and our former postdoc Natalia Rubanova. This follows up on our past work with @ksiudeja.bsky.social and Marius van den Beek on TE mobility in the gut, the current focus of the Siudeja lab at the I2BC.
