Chuck Schumer Helps Pull Democrats Back From Brink Of Courage

Today the biggest split among Democrats is between those who want to stand and fight and those who want to play dead. House Democrats united to stand and fight. Too many Senate Democrats played dead. We need more leaders from the stand and fight wing of the Democratic Party.

The American people want to see Congress fight to restore government. Bending the knee to Trump and Musk at this moment does the opposite of that. Senate Democrats must hold firm against the CR. Do your job.

Yes a shutdown would have consequences. And a Republican President, Republican House, and Republican Senate would be responsible. They have acted in a unilateral and unprecedented way. Democrats cannot cave. They must fight back.

Predictably, the Russian reaction to the Ukrainian unconditional ceasefire offer is that Russia has a condition: that Ukraine concede its sovereignty to Russia. Now Russia will try to get the Americans to do for them things they cannot do for themselves.
