Biggest difference I notice comparing Cursor with Zed is that Cursor seems to start each thread with the knowledge of my code base already. Whereas Zed always needs to start by exploring the repo and understanding what’s going on. Seems like a waste of Zed has to do that every time.

How are people testing Stimulus controllers? My first inclination was to use Jest, but setup has been pretty complex and I haven’t found much success down that route. My second thought was to just use e2e tests like Playwright. That’d work for sure, but I don’t like relying solely on e2e tests.

and you need the wisdom to know when to take a step back and ask for a different approach, before you go too far down the rabbit hole of spaghetti. re-prompting the same thing over and over to get things pixel perfect does not work, the model cannot figure out when its approach is a local maximum.

It reinforces my "AI is a calculator" premise. It helps you come to a correct answer faster and more consistently. But if you don't have the foggiest idea what that correct answer should look like, a calculator ain't gonna make a difference.
