🧵ICE's tactics for arresting and holding observers and protestors is ever-shifting, and I'm hearing lots of different stories. Right now, my perspective is that these are your best practices:

Mayor Frey's default answer is to call everyone extreme, but even Nancy Pelosi and I agree it's time to take a real stand against Trump. The Mayor would rather throw in the towel because the same people who spent money putting Trump in the WH are bankrolling his campaign.

Minneapolis needs a mayor capable of developing strong working relationships with other elected officials serving the city. Especially in these uncertain times. After 8 years in office, Jacob Frey has no endorsements from the Mpls legislative delegation or county commissioners serving the city.

I endorse Omar Fateh because I've been impressed with the drive & energy he brings to the campaign &, more importantly, to fighting for & with working people as a public official. At this moment we need leaders aligned with regular folks not wealthy interests, and Sen. Fateh is that kind of leader.

Jacob Frey's only solution to the affordable housing crisis is to build more, but under his leadership we've only seen rent and property taxes go up. When I’m elected, yes we will build more housing AND we'll use every tool in the toolbox to address housing needs in Minneapolis.

After the Mayor vetoed the Labor Standards Board, he had a letter read out loud in our council chambers where he said he would bring a proposal forward together in January 2025 with a unified vision and that the work “doesn’t end here." It’s October. He didn’t. He lied again.

Minneapolis is a union town! Workers deserve a living wage and an affordable home. Mayor Frey turned his back on workers when he vetoed the Labor Standards Board and proposed gutting co-enforcement. As Mayor, I'll champion workers, and ensure our workforce can stay in Minneapolis.
