This is obviously true but as a criticism it calls more attention to the unjustness of a system where laws are not binding on certain actors than to the wrong act itself

The top two stories on Axios right now make kind of a funny juxtaposition. One is about how Johnson can’t avoid a shutdown without Democratic votes. Two is about how mad Dem reps are at their constituents for telling them to do something, when they’re in the minority and obviously can’t do anything.

This morning, we won a court order blocking Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, from accessing Americans’ private data. Musk and his DOGE employees must destroy all records they've obtained. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: no one is above the law.

58 Democrats helped Republicans pass the Laken Riley Act, which will enable Trump's ICE to put migrants *accused* of shoplifting in detention, without due process. As in, with Trump's new call to detain 30,000 migrants in Guantanamo, these Democrats may help put them there:

Okay folks, here's where we are with the Laken Riley Act: enough Democrats have agreed to either vote for the bill or agree to move to debate that an initial filibuster will fail. But there will still be another opportunity for a filibuster after debate. So pressure on Senators can still matter.
