Happy Friday folks! Hubby & I woke up early so I got ahead on adulting (Yays cleaning! Yays pension stuff! Yays paperwork!) but it's all done now & I can relax until work at 4. I was due to go on a walk with a friend but the damp weather isn't good for my breathing/joints so we've delayed til Mon.

Just got back from a walk up & back to the shopping centre. Unfortunately I managed to catch my finger on a rubbish bin & it bled lots! Hubby (retired nurse) patched me up with water & plasters I was carrying - I was prepared as HSD makes this stuff happen a lot and I always carry supplies 🙄.

Happy Thursday folks! We've got blue skies so laundry's out. I just reassembled my patio umbrella (took it down in the high winds on Wed) and it still had ice on it from the hail last night 😬 Even though I got 5/5 on Visible today (yays!) I'm still feeling low on spoons so taking it easy.

Mr Tesco was lovely-he wore a mask! - but unfortunately one of the yogurt pots slipped as he moved a crate and exploded all over our front step 😭 It went EVERYWHERE but it was a total accident; we get a full refund on it. Happy Tuesday folks! It's cooler & v windy here today and I'm flarey which is annoying - only 2/5 on Visible this morning. I've just got work 4-6pm so can take it easy today. Laundry's out & we've got contractors coming around soon to give us a quote for desperately-needed new doors - Adulting time!

After a nice restful day I've done some batch cooking to make the rest of the week easier: lots of veg & mini roast potatoes for dinners, falafel for lunches and a strawberry/blackberry sponge for snacks. 👍

This is a wonderful, heartwarming and also educational thread. One of my neighbours growing up had DS - she was a total sweetheart and always lived at home with her parents and was given excellent support, thank goodness. I hope Alice's daughter and all children with DS get the same opportunity. 💜

Welp, my hayfever is back! It's high pollen today, I've got the scratchy throat & blocked up/drippy nose ☹️ It's always tree pollen that gets me but over the last few years grasses have started triggering it too. Add in that the UK has ragweed now & it's going to be a long hayfever season 😔

I took advantage of the good weather and went for a lovely walk after lunch, including part of the woodland near my home. I put Merlin on and it picked up lots of the usual birds I hear around here, but also a Nuthatch & the first Chiffchaff I've heard this year.

Happy Thursday folks! I've got a day off - the only thing I have today is a GP appt at 9am to discuss my ultrasound scan from last week (it was all OK but we may need to adjust my HRT). Aside from that I'm going to have a rest. I finally got back to a stable 4/5 on Visible so I want to stay there!
