Great piece, I was on board for most of what this game was doing until it drove its momentum straight into the nostalgia wall. A series that's gone as far and wide as RE is the last place you can squeeze any drops of excitement from going BACK TO WHERE IT ALL BEGAN in the cornball legasequel mode.

RE: the RE review - it doesn't work any better in the full context of the review sorry. it's a bad review. it unpacks nothing. it barely talks about the game. it reads like the writer was reminded of something and thought that, in & of itself, is Profound rather than digging into that response.
