I've loyally purchased all the Doctor Who Blu-ray sets so far, but I wonāt be buying any more. I collect them because I want the episodes in the best possible quality, but the now immediately obvious use of an AI āpolishā tool means these are a step down from the DVDs I already ownā¦

Thereās something atavistic, almost shamanistic, about the discovery of missing episodes. The realisation that you can suddenly look into the past ā hear from the dead and the lost ā sends a faint, primal shiver down the spine.

The thing Iāve learned about Blakeās 7 over the years is that Iām not remotely interested in its dreary premise. For me, itās just about two actors (a third at a push, to give those other two something to talk about).

The first shot of the 1983 series Give Us a Break, directed by David Reynolds, is too good for 1983 BBC. Pan and track across, trains going both ways, bike rider, and ends on a closeup tracking shot of Robert Lindsay. Amazing.
