Nice to see some deserved tributes in recent days to the late songwriter Peter Sinfield, whose name I first saw on Bucks Fizz records in the early 80s, but who I now realise had a talent that was versatile (and a career that was elastic) enough to encompass the likes of Greg Lake *and* Celine Dion.

When Gareth Edwards animated the 1987 Doctor Who title sequence, computational efficiency was key so he made just one-eighth of a TARDIS and mirrored it. Here’s his original wireframe model and how 1/8 can amount to the whole thing.
