The sea change which has happened in broadcasting, especially at the BBC, is between giving people what they want rather than what they think they should have, of speaking to the existing audience rather than trying to build a new one. It's claustrophobic and limiting.

Just finished watching Chronological Lost - which as you might expect is Lost edited into chronological order. It's about a hundred episodes and I've haven't seen much else for the past six weeks. In this form it's one of the best shows I've ever seen. Complex, stupid, clever and silly.

I was looking at the Sunday schedule. On Monday night BBC Two has the usual quizzes and BBC One are showing Gosford Park.

SNL UK episode three is *incredible*. In placew you can see the DNA of UK comedy history, through Python, NOT, The Two Ronnies and Big Train. The Easter Bunny sketch is pure Gerald the Gorilla.
