This is an excellent analogy, because my recollection from grade school is that the pen on the right looks fun and exciting, and then you play with it for a few minutes and realize it's not actually useful for anything and in fact makes some tasks more cumbersome, and never think about it again.

Maybe I’m weird but I’m really enjoying Baby Steps as just a hiking game. I guess I expected just silly frustration like Getting Over It but this is much more. Once I got used to the controls, it feels like real hiking. The challenges have been about on par with if I was doing it in real life.

Going pretty hard on Slime Rancher 2 lately! I love the combination of exploration, resource gathering, and farming. The game is huge and challenging to explore, while staying (mostly) non-violent

Went to see Zootopia 2 at the El Capitan in Hollywood. I enjoyed it and thought it was on par with the first one.

A couple months ago I started getting really bad jaw issues. It lasted for weeks. I realized after I beat Silksong, and the issue went away, that it was likely because I spent several hours each day with my jaw clenched tight while playing.
