Our tumble drier just carked mid-cycle and it's left behind a faint but specific hot electric smell that I couldn't place for a while but anyway I've just remembered - it's the exact same scent as a warm Scalextric track. Probably the death of domestic appliances shouldn't smell so nostalgic.
