I was honored to speak at the No Kings Day rally at St. Paul College yesterday. I gave brief remarks on the vital role schools play in the anti-fascist resistance during and after the ICE invasion. Thanks to everyone who came out!

I'm grateful to CM Whiting and all the Ward 11 constituents who showed up today to have this difficult conversation. I shared with the councilmember what I have continually heard from other MPS caregivers and educators - we need our leaders to understand the dire situation our schools face.

It's going to take partnership at the state level to address the budget shortfalls of MPS, which is why I am so honored to be endorsed by Senator Mohamed, who is currently fighting for bills that bring needed investment into our district.

I value Council Member Stevenson’s ( @sorenwithward8.bsky.social ) bold and kind leadership in our community and am so grateful to have his support. I look forward to the work we can do together to strengthen our schools and communities.
