I guess I should get around to watching s3 of The Mandalorian at some point. After the one-two punch of BoBF and Obi-Wan I got turned off of Star Wars shows not named Andor. But I did try Skeleton Crew and liked it. So I'd like to get back to Mando and see if it was salvaged.

Okay so this 1984 issue of What If? I picked up over the weekend was wild. Conan is stuck in the 20th century, murders, steals (Barbarian things) then becomes a pimp to make money (!), before abandoning that and starting a street gang (!!) before fighting Captain America to a draw. #Comics

I wasn't prepared for young Dean Stockwell to be, uh, pretty hot? He's, of course, charming. All in a very 70s way but it worked for me. This film is from 1970, and it feels SO perfectly between the horror of the 60s and the 70s in terms of look, tone, content. Fascinating. #FilmSky

I wasn't prepared for young Dean Stockwell to be, uh, pretty hot? He's, of course, charming. All in a very 70s way but it worked for me. This film is from 1970, and it feels SO perfectly between the horror of the 60s and the 70s in terms of look, tone, content. Fascinating. #FilmSky

There's a lot to love here. Arnold looks amazing. I'm a sucker for a sweaty/oiled up muscle man though. The scale is great. The mound fight is fun. The ending has a certain quiet poetry. It is WAY too long. The performances are almost uniformly wooden. I still had a great time with it. #FilmSky

It's interesting, as a music fan, when you sort of drift apart from an artist you loved for a long time. I was a HUGE Sarah Mclachlan fan in high school and college during the Possession/Surfacing era. Went to Lilith Fair. I drop in with every new album and give it a go with little luck.

I can see why The Keep has such devotees. Part cosmic horror. Part neon Tangerine Dream music video, I dug getting sucked into its world. Cool to see an earlier work by Mann. I saw Barker's Nightbreed on the shelf as I went to shelve it, and I thought how they'd make a great double feature. #FilmSky

DNF one fantasy book I started because I felt detached from it even though I loved the premise. Next book had a similar feel, but I was immediately engrossed. Which is to say, there is a strange alchemy that happens between book and reader that cannot be predicted, so just do your thing 😂💜

Such a great movie! Really the best one since the first. The Transformers were given actual character work! It was amazing. No one went to go see it.

One of my favorite scenes in Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is when she guilt trips the kids into going to the late night movie. It's just good old-fashioned comedic hijinks. PS - I somehow have always missed the bowling alley's name is Tidy Bowl. #Elvira #FilmSky
