The last two weeks have not been fun. Nothing major. Just some annoying health stuff testing my patience. It just came at an irritating time on many levels. But, you know, I’m grabbing the joy I can where I can. And grabbing the light when it looks good. Ha!

I'm seeing it again in the Big D, because it only has one showing, and it's not coming to IMAX here. And I'd like to see it on a super large screen at least once more. If I were to give this a score purely on cinematic merit, it'd be a 3-star "I like it!" movie. But fan-brain me gave it 4.

Post earlier made me want to rewatch the D&D movie. Just going to watch some drinking my Sleepytime tea. Wild Saturday night shit. Chris Pine is so freaking charming. But I genuinely love this movie. The prequel novel was great too.

Oh I liked e2s3 of Mando aka Bo-Katan keeps saving’s Din’s ass repeatedly. It’s nice to Katee Sackhoff again. She feels more settled in the role, maybe?

Tried the first two episodes of Widow's Bay, the King-esque horror comedy on Apple, and so far I'm VERY much on board. I love a Stephen King-esque tale. So much so I wrote one (but gay) with my book In the Dark of the Grove. And it's played straight here, which is one of my favorite kinds of comedy.

Watched the last two Hacks. The final season was a bit uneven for me, but I love the characters, especially Ava and Deborah, so much. And I did love the ending. Also there's a pan-and-transition that's so fun it made me wonder if anyone's ever been able to do it before. #Hacks

Paul and I saw Backrooms, and they had Castle Grayskull! I haven’t been tempted by novelty popcorn buckets before. If I ever put popcorn in it I’ll be lining it first. But I did use the tower drink holder. The head opens for candy! #mastersoftheuniverse #motu

Finally started watching the 1991 of Into the Woods, and I was not prepared for the costume design of the Wolf. I knew from the movie and the music itself the Wolf was meant to be "sexy" but they really laid it all out there for the stage show, didn't they?

By the power of dollllllls! I have the He-maaaaannnn. I want to get Teela at some point too but MOTU is already draining my funds as it is. This Barbie release is brilliant! Weird detail on the sword that no others have. Hot Toys is making a He-man figure too which I’m QUITE excited about.

Watched The Drama tonight. My enthusiasm was dampened a bit by some of the ambivalent reactions to it I'd read or heard, but I kind of loved it? It's a very tricky combination of tones and content, and I was impressed with the results. Zendaya and Pattinson are both so freaking good in this.
