Hello, everybody. As usual, I hope all is well with you and yours. My recovery has gone well. It's kinda crazy watching the transformation my left leg has taken over the last few weeks. There's still a ways to go before it's "normal" again, but it has improved significantly since my surgery.

About a day after my last post here, my aunt passed away after a long battle with cancer. We had her funeral services last week and I got to see another of my aunts for the first time in years. We talked for a bit and I got to introduce her to my wife.

Assuming the follow ups go well, that's 2 surgeries down with hopefully only 1 more left to go.

I've deleted the Bsky app from my phone and plan on continuing my break after this, but... Today, we celebrated the birthdays of both of my grandparents, knowing full well that it's very possible it'll at least partially be the last one.

I've enjoyed my social media break enough that I'm going to continue it. My surgery is in a few weeks and my cat escaped my apartment on Sunday and had me sobbing when he came back after 2 hours of my whole neighborhood searching for him. Those are about the only 2 updates I'll share for now.

I hope everybody is doing well. I'm struggling a bit today, but I'm going to do my best to get through it. Until then, I'll be logging off again. Folks who know where to find me know where to find me. Take care.

I think Wilds is great, but I also understand that many or maybe even most can't even have that experience with the game because of its performance problems, so it kinda just feels like I can't be openly enthusiastic about it. The game definitely bit off more than I could chew, though.
