I feel that they pretty much attempted to do some sort of prototypical Archaic/Shakesperean dialogue to fit the setting of the game (kinda like FF12/LoK) and in concept it could work but the delivery is so memeable. The PSP Remaster fucked with this though and honestly it doesn't feel the same

Probably one of my favorite bits is when they changed Vegeta's voice actor during the Cell Saga, the second one was gormless so they just had Tien's voice actor do it (there's only like 6 voice actors) and Cell mocks Vegeta for his voice changing lmao.

Saint Seiya was dubbed by the same network and people, I remember during an establishing shot at the school cafeteria one of the kids just shouting "I can't eat that, I have diabetes!" Maybe I should rewatch Sailor Moon and see if it was equally fucked up/funny.

Watching the Portuguese Dub of DBZ and yeah obvious hilarity but also it's even funnier when you understand the language because Portuguese Vegeta never shuts up when fighting and sometimes there'll just be random cultural jokes like when he's getting his ass choked by Frieza he just screams CHORIZO

Robotic Alchemic Drive is an amazing game because it's this niche yet ambitious PS2 game that has an interesting idea but it's hilariously jank in execution and the localization was literally done by some guy who bought the rights somehow and got him and his family to do the dub voices
