I don’t even understand this. You’re going to die of old age any day now. How is this useful to you, already being one of the most powerful people in the world? For your kids that you clearly hate? It’s greed for greed’s sake

Given all the threats on his life, I think Trump needs a vacation. I can't imagine the stress he's under. He, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk should go visit the Titanic. Hell, take Bibi Netanyahu too.

elon musk had his brain melted by right wing twitter slop and illegally shut it down. six figure body count plus a new strain of ebola is ravaging africa as we speak. the discourse is about whether they hired enough conservatives to justify not torpedoing the agency. illegally, i might add

It’s worth noting that when Jan. 6 happened, the pro-Trump right used dozens of conspiracy theories to try and offload blame from themselves—e.g., claiming it was “antifa,” “feds.” Now, they seem keen to just admit they did it—all of it—and it was good.

Every summer I repost this article on how to spot drowning. Please read it and pass on. In the last few years I’ve had SIX messages from people who saved a kid’s life after clicking on the link from my feed.

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning
Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

One reason I hate death penalty cases is that capital punishment is incredibly stupid and irrational. It's cruel, expensive, and serves no deterrent effect. It's rarely imposed, except against a tiny minority of unlucky defendants—and in those cases, racism almost always plays a role. Just end it.

I'm appreciative of all the frozen food positivity. I feel like discourse like this often involves people moralizing about wanting to use the app versus people moralizing about cooking. but in truth it's fine to be lazy about food. you don't have to care that much, it's no sin

The college grads in open revolt against pro-AI speakers is a reminder that this isn’t about a failure to adopt technology. These students are the first generation to have had language models throughout their college experience. No one wants it. They want an education, not a four year sales pitch.

Birth rate discourse is like “It turns out if you give women more choices, they’re less likely to make ones that make their lives harder.” Which is really helpful in figuring out how we can improve society somewhat. But instead people are like wow giving women more choices was a mistake
