Never in a million years did I ever fathom when I resurrected the Epstein story in 2018 that it would lead to first arrest of a British Royal in four centuries. Not since King Charles I was arrested in 1647.

Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe our president is grieving the tragic sudden passing of his close friend of many years? That was in 2019, it's really not been that long, 6 or 7 (ha, not intentional) years since a death is not too long to still be grieving, and it might be really hard for him

A lot of people throwing around the word "woman" quite recklessly when discussing the victims of Epstein's trafficking network of decrepit criminals. Maybe don't use that word if you're not sure the age of the victim.

It's really so hard to process US political events, it's all so completely surreal and dramatized and hyperbolic, the explicitness is a defense mechanism, and it's breaking the brains of an increasingly small but passionate minority that still hold power enough for the elites to find them useful. Ah

I know people on Bsky know this but I hope it filters out: The feds are OCCUPYING the Twin Cities. This is a blockade, a siege. They are shutting down economic and civic activity. They are conducting "papers please" stops. They are criminalizing being a bystander/witness. You could be next.

This isn't just a casual observation. Fascism scholars have long made this point. It's why calling them "weird" was a more effective strategy than talking about the prices of eggs. Fascism is an aesthetic political movement - you need to make people feel embarassed and horrified by it.

They assume we must all be getting paid to rise up cos: A) they can't imagine a scenario where they would stand up for a stranger without financial incentive B) they received financial incentives or free passes to cause trouble C) there is insane funding behind them, and they draw small crowds

It should be bigger news that masked agents were filmed hours ago removing potentially inculpatory evidence from the ICE shooter's house, clearly lacking evidence tags or chain of custody stickers. Before we have word on whether he underwent a toxicology screen at the hospital following the killing

losing my mind at the "she should have followed directions" people really? really? you're cool with "if you don't follow directions, they get to kill you"? that seems like a good state of affairs to you? that seems like how law enforcement ought to work: instant obeisance or death?

Sorry for spreading misinformation. Correction: the world's richest man did TWO Hitler salutes from the presidential podium on Inauguration Day. And then one month to the day later, lifelong Goebbels Steve Bannon did at least one Hitler salute at the Conservative Political Action conference. Hm

I think the fact that Stefan Mueller is talking more is a sign of how bad things are going. (Unless he's always been this vocal, tweeting and interviews and so on, and I just didn't notice.) Pretty sure that disgusting person would prefer to be able to lurk in the background rather than be apparent.

In protest, Jimmy Fallon should do an entire episode where he silently stares at the camera, not uttering one word or interviewing one person. It'd be a powerful message about censorship, and incidentally the best episode of Jimmy Fallon.
