Since Firefox seems to be going down the same AI-obsessed road as everyone else, I installed Waterfox (a Firefox fork) on my Ubuntu laptop this evening. Very pleased so far. Gotta keep all the bullshit quarantined on my Windows laptop.

After using Linux in the form of Ubuntu for several days, the most surprising thing is how utterly normal and reliable it is. A far cry from my earlier experiences. If this keeps up I just might install it on my Surface Laptop 4, too.

Fun with Excel: received a bloated Excel .xlsx file that weighed in at about 49 MB. Deleted a tab I didn’t need and re-saved it, which reduced it to 23 MB. Saved that as an .ods file, reducing it to 1.8 MB. Microsoft Office can suck it.
