David Lynch being in the #Emmys in memoriam broke something in me. He embodies so much of the medium’s potential that it’s almost impossible to think about him in the past tense.

Never seen Dawson’s Creek. Wife watching the pilot. Dawson, self-declared devotee of Spielberg, says there are no sex scenes in any Spielberg movies. Schindler’s List, which he has a poster of on his wall, has sex scenes. I don’t think Dawson has ever actually watched any of Spielberg’s flicks.
