Political violence is never ok and must be stopped. In June, Minnesota Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, lost their lives, and now Charlie Kirk lost his.   My condolences are with Charlie’s family, especially his young children.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination was horrific. That doesn’t change the fact that the vast majority of gun (and political) violence has been perpetuated by right wingers. You don’t get to change the narrative at will.

Charlie Kirk is dead. He said the civil rights movement was a mistake, that women belonged in the kitchen, that empathy was some new age BS, was against abortion rights, and said gun deaths were worth it to keep the 2nd amendment. His death is a result of his own advocacy for the 2nd amendment.

The only thing we'll say about Charlie Kirk is that the Supreme Court has wildly loosened gun laws over the past 25 years, based on flimsy-at-best readings of the Constitution.
