Funniest possible way to start a movie about cartoons stalking a mansion full of beautiful women, and five years before the Coen brothers made a similar claim in Fargo.

Until this week, it's been impossible to play the games of the 1993 Pioneer LaserActive without one of the vanishingly rare, disintegrating consoles. Here's the story of the guy who's been trying to fix that for years -- and all the hardware and software he had to build to make it possible.

"This is the first:" The 16 year odyssey of "time, money, wrong turns and frustration" it took to finally emulate the Pioneer LaserActive
In April 2009, a Sega fan decided to look into emulating the Mega LD, a quirky and little-known hybrid of Genesis and LaserDisc. This week he finished the job.

The 1991 film Robo Warriors left a 40ft tall robot prop standing on a Philippine Air Force base after shooting wrapped. The locals were so taken with it that after decades of succumbing to the elements, they commissioned artists to build a 12ft tall replica:

I think it’s finally time to pull this Amiga 3000 board and see if I can patch up what the battery destroyed years before I bought it. It can boot to here, but the screen is green and glitchy and the mouse can only scroll around the left side of the screen.

Today's VHS upload to the Archive is "Karate For Your Child," produced in 1982 by Kenpo master Ed Parker, according to the box. Have you ever wanted to watch young children beat the absolute shit out of each other? Well ok pervert, here you go.

Today's VHS upload to the Internet Archive is Shock Wave: Volume 2, a collection of Christian skits for the teens of 1990s. Worth watching for the segment where a guy repeatedly hits himself in the dick with a hammer to demonstrate the dangers of drinking.
