Friendly tip for folks. My discord got hacked yesterday and my computer was acting funky ever since. Turns out it was malware installed through a blender file I bought as part of an asset pack on CG Trader. I didn’t know blender files were being used this way, but I figured I’d spread the word.

I think sometimes there's a real tradeoff here - I've often said it would be possible for facebook to be 100% less evil if they were ok with it being 50% less valuable - but in Costco's case there's no sacrifice! They make a ton of money! Only Wal-Mart is more valuable among US retailers

It's almost like, if you have a quality product and you treat your customers with respect, you will gain more customers and more profit without any underhanded scheming.

a few months ago I said "having generative AI handle absolutely anything with regards to healthcare is a nightmare and should be banned" and a bunch of people made fun of me and called me stupid. anyways,

"Per compliance policy, certain AI-generated fields cannot be updated by clinical staff" is a managerial decision that will lead to prolonged suffering and preventable death. Having to escalate these fuck-ups to be reviewed by higher levels within the bureaucracy is a waste of time and resources.
