TERFs are winning this week. After getting the males out of women's prisons, now the Darlington nurses are getting £187.000 in damages. The letter they got is interesting in that the NHS admits they didn't think of the impact on the nurses. When there are too few nurses, this is hard to explain.

JK Rowling won again. Days after her shout out to all female prisoners in Scotland, locked up with males, that she would fund any lawsuit against the system, the system balked. All males are transported to the male estate, today. They never should have been in there.

The most significant time for developing as a human after conception is puberty, the journey that begins in adolescence and ends in more complex thought as part of navigating adult relationships. Halting healthy puberty, as well as the physical harms, existentially affects brain development.

Thankfully @akuareindorfkc.bsky.social is on the case with the legal ‘analysis’ of FWS and the Code of Practice published by Ian Dunt. It makes some very bad mistakes about the law, including this one. And its failure to acknowledge women have rights under the Equality Act & ECHR too (oops!)

FWS win on prisons guidance in Scotland. Prison accommodation to be required for men and women based on biological sex. ECHR arguments considered and confer no right to be housed in prisons of the opposite biological sex. Not a surprising decision.

Hugely significant and a judgment some people who don’t understand that women also have Article 2, 3 and 8 rights could do with reading.

For Women Scotland won again at the Supreme Court! Locking up males in the women's prison is unlawful. That seems common sense, but female prisoners were subjected to males in the shower, in their cell etc. They were punished if they complained.

It beggars belief that male criminals were ever allowed into women‘s prisons in the first place but, even more ridiculous is the amount of public money the Scottish Government wasted fighting to keep them there. 🎁 link in reply

I often talk about rape cases, and how a single offence does not encapsulate all the behaviours a conviction can represent. In short, if you plan a situation where you lure someone to a strange place, use a weapon to submit them, film the rape, upload it and laugh, you should serve a long sentence
