Goat Island on Wednesday was busier than I've ever seen it. So nice to have this amazing place just an hour away. Saw huge snapper, trevally, gurnard, a stingray and a huge school of kahawai. Ms9 went rockpooling and saw an octopus!

As someone who's written a few thousand lines of code for mass spec data processing, this is not nearly as simple as this technical note makes it sound. It may work for the most simple tasks but once you've got to do something more complex it cannot, in my experience, deliver.

It's been a while since I've accidentally added ammonium as well as formic to acetonitrile. Ammonium formate is largely insoluble in this solvent so you get this white cloud which then flocculates as on the right. Pretty, but a bit of a waste. 🙄
