Yesterday I patched the 2 foot square hole in the wall (poorly but fuck it) and today I cleaned up the mess, layed down the vapor barrier, and started the painting but only did a little before saying fuck it for the day. But finally, some progress on the darkroom!

Oh wow haven't posted for a whole week. I have been playing a ton of Hades 2 and otherwise listened to the first four Temeraire books while wandering for hours around my new neighborhood. Surgery is Monday, hoping to finally make some headway on the darkroom this weekend

My new debit card arrived today, decided to celebrate by restocking on weed since I've been out for days, spent an hour on transit getting to my favorite shop...and the card is missing from my wallet. I paid for the bus and then just, lost it, poof, no more card anywhere

Whew, sounds like surgery is going to be soon, on May 5th, which means I'll be recovered enough to carry my gear so I can cover the Chicago Blues Fest for Blues at the Bean the first weekend of June, huzzah

The photo exhibit on right now at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is insane, one of the best I've ever seen, highly recommend if you're in Boston. Check out this Dorian Grey-inspired self-portrait series by Yinka Shonibare!

Bahahaha oh the hubris. I am still like a week away from STARTING the darkroom setup. The chaos diminishes, but I am fighting to the death with both a toilet and an over the range microwave, and I must claim victory first, plus a little more unpacking

My expectation for this war was 'everyone loses,' but to be honest, if those terms hold and Iran gets to pull in $40bn a year from the Strait to fund their proxies and build their nuclear program - if this is the deal - then honestly the Iranian regime simply...won.

I am absolutely wrecked over this shift in business model. They're a cooperative non-profit, really hoped that would make them more immune from this shit

The two truths: 1) There is nothing wrong with porn, let people safely make it, let people safely enjoy it. 2) If you let people define porn as bad, authoritarians will ALWAYS expand the definition until their hands are around your neck.

Getting very excited to spend 6 weeks in Sweden this summer, making camp and making art. I am bringing so much film and so many plans. Also planning on a few days in Berlin and a few days somewhere else, maybe Paris? Maybe Glasgow?

This is genuinely a bombshell. All courthouse arrests should cease immediately. There should be a Congressional investigation & civil rights actions for every illegal abduction of immigrants trying to follow the rules and appear in court. (2/2)

Almost done painting my room, tomorrow I just need to go in and fix all the sloppy bits, of which there are many, because I am, and because the tape, it did nothing. But I think I like it! I am certainly not about to change it

This is my first time watching Twin Peaks, minus a false start years ago, and I think the thing that has surprised me the most about it is David Lynch made a soap opera. And he did it on purpose, there's a subtle wink early in the second season. And it's absolutely inspired

The timing of this may seem weird given my last video and ~world events~ but what I'm really trying to do with these videos is to get folks who don't understand much about engines to get to where I'm at: These contraptions are insane and the only reason we don't think that is b/c we're used to 'em.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is some of the best storytelling I have ever experienced, in any medium. Even people not into anime I think would love it, it has none of the annoying tropes. For fans of the fantasy genre especially. Still one more ep to go this season then I have to waaaaait π
