i for one can safely touch the cursed amulet. it doesn't affect me, i have no mortal ambitions within myself to become corrupted by. in fact i find the power it confers very useful. i'm enjoying touching the amulet more & more as its influence waxes! it used to make me feel insane but now i love it

this was honestly such a fun event, there's always something special about the stockholm lites. being on the pc mostly involves being impressed at all the incredible submissions and then feeling smug when they become incredible talks, but what a privilege it is 💕

This is amazing. First page of how to build worlds. "Games don't need REALISM with unnecessary details! That's just excessive. No, something simpler will suffice. Here we model air currents as they flow around a planet at various degrees from the equator..." 🥰

"But you can't deny that it's useful" is what I hear often when I criticize "AI". But that's not the argument because everything is useful to someone for some purpose usually at someone's cost. "Child labor" is _useful_. Question is: Do the uses bring more social value than the cost?

A class at my kids’ school put up little statements about the good they want to do in the world and I was over the moon about this one - then I learned they meant to say “teach people in jail” which is also good!
