So far we have: - accordion - tabs - toggle - tooltip Building these takes a significant amount of effort. A lot of care goes into accessibility, sensible keyboard interactions, docs, api design… It’s fun, I don’t mind doing it, but I also don’t mind affording rent too yaknow 😅

Update on my reactflow ripoff, we have properly functional handles and connections! I think almost all the fundamentals are here enough to publish a v1. Before I do that it's time for a round of docs and polish ^.^

tonight i added panning inertia and rewrote how the core rendering works, i'm super pleased. that's the fundamentals down i think, tomorrow is on to all the events required to implement real things. first up is connecting handles together.

You know how LLMs have a bit of a writing style and you can get a vibe for ai-generated text? I get the same feeling from ai-generated UI. It's got this uncanny valley vibe to it and once you start noticing the big padding, large border radius, bright colours, emojis, ... it's super jarring.

Earlier this year I left @xyflow.com to, among other things, spend more time working on gleam and lustre. it was a bit of a running joke that eventually i'd make a lustreflow fork... i'm still a long way off but i'm giving it a shot and already have the basic pan/zoom/nodes/edges canvas down!
