That's a revealing read. Thanks for posting, Igor! I guess the pattern is clear. Productivity-enhancing innovations (in the case of Wikipedia it was crowdsourcing) are met with hostility because their first-order effects are perceived as labor-saving. The term "Luddite" is not too far off.
